Sophomore Rachel Tinkey drove in four runs for the Cardinals (11-7). Her hits included a two-run homer. Winning pitcher Abby Baker (9-6) hit two doubles while Kayley Keller and Kara Rothbauer had one each. For the Blue Streaks (9-6), Mackenzie Hays drove in two runs.

Amber Ricci hit a two-out double and scored on Sierra Blackson’s single in the first inning for the Golden Flashes (8-7-1, 6-3 AAC National). Winning pitcher Haylee Gardiner (3-2) struck out two batters and walked none. For Lakeview (6-6, 4-5) Taylor Waid struck out eight batters and walked one. Laura Innocenzi had three hits and Caitlin McDevitt two.
Girard 9, Salem 0
Kylie Kulon’s four hits included two triples and she drove in two runs for the Indians (10-7). Winning pitcher Neco Maderitz hit two doubles and drove in three runs. She struck out 14 Quakers and walked none. Mackenzie Olesky had four hits and scored two runs.
South Range 15, Springfield 0
Darrian Yanek homered, tripled and doubled twice to drive in six runs for the Raiders (15-2, 9-0 Inter Tri-County League Tier One). Carly DeRose and Yanek teamed up to toss a five-inning one-hitter. Sara Moretti and Jordan Youngs also tripled. Stevie Taylor hit two doubles while DeRose and Morgan Renforth each doubled. Renforth, Taylor and Youngs each had two RBIs. Sami Semach had the hit for the Tigers (10-7, 7-4).
Jackson-Milton 8, Crestview 6
Paije Kiraly’s two-out, three-run homer scored the winning run and capped the Bluejays’ five-run seventh inning. Winning pitcher Kiraly also doubled. On the mound, she struck out five and walked two. Caitlin Carney had two hits and two RBIs while Madison Tomaino had two hits for Jackson-Milton (14-6, 7-3 ITCL Tier One). Bri Cope drove in two runs for the Rebels (13-5).
McDonald 8, Lisbon 7
Winning pitcher Leigh Gatta (6-4) knocked in the game-winning run in the eighth inning. Gatta had three hits, including a double and drove in three runs for McDonald (6-9). On the mound, she struck out 10 and walked two. Jenna Golden also had three hits including a homer. She scored the winning run.
Boardman 6, Massillon Jackson 4
The Spartans’ Kristen Huck raised her record to 5-0 with a five-hitter in a Federal League victory. Jaclyn Jones, Caitlin Cina and Melissa Maiorano all had two hits for Boardman (10-7, 2-3). Nicole Sanfilippo, Katie Seeco, Jones and Courtney Cina all had run-scoring hits.
Howland 3, Edgewood 2
Victoria Rappach singled three times, including a run-scoring hit in the Tigers’ three-run sixth inning, as Howland (9-7) won a non-conference road game. Hannah Burke singled, doubled and drove in a run and Monica Kotyuk had two singles and an RBI. Burke struck out five, walked two and pitched a four-hitter. Edgewood (8-6) scored its two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Mineral Ridge 5, United 3
Allissa Sparks had three singles and Darby Kolesar doubled twice amd drove in two runs for the Rams (7-5). McKenzie Garland also hit a pair of doubles for Mineral Ridge, which snapped a tie with three runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Lordstown 12, Pymatuning Valley 5
Kansas Lickwar singled, homered and drove in four runs and Melody Taylor had three hits as the Red Devils (6-3, 4-3 NAC) beat the Lakers on the road. Ally Hajnosz drove in two runs and Sami Heverly singled and tripled for Lordstown.
Fitch 13-1, Conneaut 3-2
Alex Franken hit a grand slam home run during a 10-run seventh inning as the Falcons blew open a tight game in the continuation of the Mahoning Valley Invitational title game, which started on April 20. Franken finished with a single, double, homer and six RBIs. Alana Callahan had four hits and Cali Mikovich had two. Nicholette Zordich added two RBIs. In the regularly scheduled game, Zappitelli allowed a first-inning RBI single by Callahan, then held the Falcons scoreless the rest of the way as the Spartans won a non-conference road game. Lower had an RBI triple for Conneaut (11-3). Mikovich had a triple for Fitch (13-6).
Poland 5, Struthers 2
Aleah Hughes had two singles and Meredith Testa had a double in the Bulldogs’ victory. Struthers’ Alexa Bayus pitched the first five innings and gave up just three hits. Sarah Sajnovsky finished the game. Jessica Ditman, Preshus Brown, Sarah Sajnovsky, Celeste Cavanaugh and Anastasia Cardarelli each had a hit for the Wildcats.
Struthers 7, Beaver Local 5
Katie Gue pitched five innings and struck out seven. Sarah Sajnovsky finished the game for the Wildcats. Emily Rosen and Celeste Cavanaugh each had a single. Jessica Ditman added a double and Ashley Hefferon a triple and two RBIs for Struthers. Anastasia Cardarelli and Preshus Brown each added two hits and Alexa Bayus had two RBIs. Beaver Local got two hits each from Wheeler and Frampton and a home run from Riley.
Mathews 28, Bloomfield 0
Cheyenne Eggens and Jessica Marsico combined on a no-hitter and the Mustangs (12-6, 10-0 NAC) left little doubt about the outcome with an 18-run first inning. Marsico singled twice, doubled, tripled, drove in four runs and stole four bases. Maddy Nicula singled three times and drove in four runs and Karli Romesberg had three hits and three RBIs. Maddie Williams had three hits and Tabby Granelly scored five runs for the Mustangs.
