Cruze sales increased by a stellar 21 percent in April

General Motors reported today that sales of the Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze increased by a stellar 21 percent in April when compared to the same time in 2012.

The company delivered 22,032 Cruze models last month, up from 18,205 last year, for the vehicles best sales performance in months.

Overall, GM sales were up 11 percent year-over-year. The company reported selling 237,646 vehicles last month. Its Chevrolet brand led the pack, selling 172,460 units.

Gains for the Cruze last month were the best they’ve been in months.
