UPDATE: Hostage situation ends, one man in custody

Published: Wed, March 27, 2013 @ 2:13 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — A hostage situation ended before 2 p.m. today with no injuries, and police are still trying to sort out the details.

They arrested a man identified as James Hendrix on an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction.

Police were called to a home in the 600 block of Mabel Avenue on the South Side before 1 p.m. about a man holding a woman and a 4-year-old child hostage.

Police surrounded the home and blocked off the street. Shortly after 1 p.m., the woman and child came out of the home. Police later found Hendrix inside the dwelling and took him into custody.

The woman, however, told police nothing happened, and that she and the child were never in harm's way.

""The woman, however, told police nothing happened, and that she and the child were never in harm's way.""

Of course, idiot women jeopardizing her child with this animal. So typical. This waste of DNA has tons of Domestic Violence charges on him, not to mention, gun violations.
