STORM UPDATE: Mahoning Valley can expect snow to last longer, accumulate deeper today

Staff report

VIENNA

A winter-weather advisory remains in effect for the Mahoning Valley, but the snowfall may last longer and be deeper than previously predicted, according to the latest forecast this morning from the National Weather Service.

Overnight snow is expected to accumulate from 1 to 3 inches. Up to 4 inches of additional snow is now forecast for Mahoning and Trumbull counties today.

The new forecast also calls for snow continuing into the early evening.
