TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. Cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead call 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Donations will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4750 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown, is sponsoring a free community chicken dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will serve a meatloaf dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets for adults are $7 and for children 10 and under are $4. Carryout is available.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, is hosting a bean soup and dessert luncheon from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. with a freewill offering. The cost for takeout is $6 a quart. Call the church at 330-788-8707 for information.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, is sponsoring a free pot roast supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will serve a takeout beef tips and noodle dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Tickets are $7. FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve all-you-can-eat fried fish, chicken or shrimp meals from 3 to 7 p.m. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall in the lodge. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Carryout is available; call 330-533-3077.

Austintown Eagle’s Banquet Center, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, will be the location of a fish fry and Lenten buffet from 4 to 8 p.m. The buffet costs $10.95; dinners are $7.95 to $9.95. Call ahead for parties of 8 or more at 330-559-2535.

Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Washingtonville, will serve fish or shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinners are sit-down or carryout. Cost is $9 for fish and $8 for shrimp.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. Cost is $10.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available. Provide your own container. No walk-in orders will be available. There will be no sales on March 29 and April 5.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. Dinners are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts are available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Takeouts orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road SE, will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. For information call 330-856-3628.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult meals cost $10, and children’s are $5.

Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, 6225 Quarry Road, will have a carryout fish fry from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $15. Lunch special is $8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30. p.m.

Mineral Ridge Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. at Weathersfield Fire Station 4, 3588 Main St. Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children; those 10 and under eat free.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. The cost will be $10 for adults and $6 for children. Carryouts are available; call 330-538-3351.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance. The is the last sale before Easter.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. An extra piece of fish is $5, and extra sides are $2 or $3. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a dinner for $9 or a sandwich and side for $6. St. Nicholas Moms and Dads Club will sponsor a fish dinner at St. Nicholas Church Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. A $6 lunch special for takeout only will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders to 330-755-5859. Dinner hours are 3 to 7 p.m. for dine-in or takeout. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $4.25 for children and free for 5 and under. No phone-in orders.

St. Patrick Parish, 315 N. Main St., Hubbard, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost for adults is $8 and for children, $6. Shrimp dinners are $7, and pirogi, haluski, macaroni and cheese or ravioli dinners are $6. Call 330-534-4219 after 3 p.m. for carryouts.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. This is the last sale until April 12.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. This is the last week for pirogi sales.

SATURDAY

Beaver Ruritans will sponsor a fish fry from 3 to 7 p.m. at South Range High School, 11300 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield. Dinners are $10 each.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. For information call the church at 330-549-2333.

SUNDAY

Boy Scout Troop 101 will host their annual spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Takeouts will be available. Delivery dinners will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. for advance orders of 10 or more dinners. Takeout and delivery dinners are $8 each. To order call 330-219-6816.

Holy Apostles Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church Holy Name Society, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, is serving a pancake, egg and sausage breakfast and basket auction from 9 to 11 a.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12; those under 6 eat free. There will be Easter bread, pizzelles, kolachi (nut and apricot), pies, pizza, cakes and more. Tickets for the spring lottery wreath will be $1 per ticket or six for $5.

St. Joseph Parish, 4565 New Road, Austintown, is serving its annual Palm Sunday all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. in the social hall. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12; kids under 6 eat free. Meals are sit-down or takeout.

St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 463 Robinson Road, Campbell, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

TAKING ORDERS

Christ The Good Shepherd Parish at St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave. Campbell, is taking orders for homemade haluski. Call from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and pick up from 10 a.m. to noon March 29.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon is taking orders for Easter bread. The cost is $10 for a 2-pound plain or iced round loaf. Order by until Friday by calling 330-538-3351. Pickups will be selected hours March 27, 28 and 29.

St. John Orthodox Church, 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, is taking orders for Easter items. Cheese, plain or raisin Easter bread is $6 each; apricot, cheese, lekvar, nut or poppy seed kolachi is $10 each; large cookie trays are $28 each; angel food cherry strudel is $10 each; lamb buttermolds are $3.50 each; homemade beet or white horseradish is $3; stuffed cabbage is $15 per dozen; Ukrainian borscht is $6 per quart; jellied pigs feet are $3; and kielbasa and slab bacon is $5.50 per pound. UPCOMING

Ursuline High School Boys’ Soccer Team will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 in the high school cafeteria. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. There will also be a basket raffle. For tickets or to donate to the basket raffle, call Joann Oaks at 330-503-1918.
