Area doctor gets probation

YOUNGSTOWN— A chiropractor who lives in Poland with an office in Boardman will spend the next two years on probation with 60 days of that on electronically monitored house arrest for attempted theft and attempted insurance fraud.

Dr. David P. Esarco, 52, who lives on Shady Glen Trail in Poland, was initially charged with theft, insurance fraud and tampering with records when arrested in July. He has been free on a personal recognizance bond.

The theft and fraud charges were amended and the tampering charge dismissed in a plea agreement with prosecutors. Dr. Esarco appeared before Judge James C. Evans of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court today for sentencing on the amended charges.
