Fitch junior Gabby Figueroa won her second straight indoor state title in the weight throw on Saturday, breaking the meet and facility records with a throw of 56 feet at the University of Akron.

Figueroa held the facility record (for high schoolers) with a throw of 53-9 1/2 back in January. Wayne's Alexis Thomas held the previous state meet record of 53-7 1/2, set in 2009.

Fitch's 4x200-meter relay team placed second behind Pickerington Central. The relay consists of Ka'Naylah Cox, Ebony Davis, Jayme Ritchie and Lauren Bower.

On the boys side, Fitch senior Billy Price took second in the weight throw behind St. Edward's Aaron Zedella. The Falcons' 4x200 relay team of Joe Harrington, Nathan Bowlen, Gary Gibson and Darrin Hall placed second behind Cleveland Heights.

Boardman junior Mark Hadley was second in the 1600 behind Westerville North's Jacob Dumford.
