Funerals to begin for 6 crash victims

Funerals begin today for the six teens killed Sunday morning in a single-car crash on Niles-Warren River Road, a mile south of downtown.

The vehicle they were in overturned in a pond along Niles-Warren River Road on Sunday morning. Autopsies performed Monday and Tuesday showed that all six victims died from drowning, Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, Trumbull County coroner, said.

A candlelight vigil for the accident victims is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday in Courthouse Square.

Alexis S. Cayson, 19: Calling hours, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in Apostolic Faith Church with the funeral at noon. The family will receive friends at 2194 Draper Street SE.

Andrique L. “Butter” Bennett, 14: Calling hours, 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Triedstone Baptist Church in Warren, with family visitation at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, followed by the funeral at noon. The family will receive friends at 1242 Belle Street SE.

Brandon A. Murray, 14: Calling hours, 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sterling- McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Grace AME Church in Warren. The family will receive friends at 358 Homewood Ave.

Ramone J. White, 15: Calling hours, 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at J.E. Washington Funeral Home, 2234 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown. Additional calling hours are 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, 1590 Tod Ave., Warren, followed by the funeral at noon.
