TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. Cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead call 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Donations will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, is hosting a chicken noodle soup and dessert luncheon for a donation from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The cost for takeout soup is $6 a quart. Call the church at 330-788-8707 with questions.

THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

VFW Post 2799 will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve all-you-can-eat fried fish, chicken or shrimp meals from 3 to 7 p.m. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall in the lodge. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Carryout is available; call 330-533-3077.

Austintown Eagle’s Banquet Center, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, will be the location of a fish fry and Lenten buffet from 4 to 8 p.m. The buffet costs $10.95; dinners are $7.95 to $9.95. Call ahead for parties of 8 or more at 330-559-2535.

Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Washingtonville, will serve fish or shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinners are sit-down or carryout. Cost is $9 for fish and $8 for shrimp.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. Cost is $10.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. A limited supply of frozen pirogi will be available. Provide your own container. No walk-in orders will be available.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. Dinners are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts are available.

Girard Knights of Columbus will feature fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hall, 122 S. State St. Cost is $7.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under. Children’s menu is macaroni and cheese. Carryout is available; call 330-545-3082 or 330-530-3555.

Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will offer a fish fry from 3 to 7 p.m. Fried haddock is $6, haluski or macaroni and cheese is $2, coleslaw is $1 and shrimp is $3 for 5 pieces for carry-out only.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Takeouts orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult meals cost $10, and children’s are $5.

Mineral Ridge Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. at Weathersfield Fire Station 4, 3588 Main St. Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children; those 10 and under eat free.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. The cost will be $10 for adults and $6 for children. Carryouts are available; call 330-538-3351.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. An extra piece of fish is $5, and extra sides are $2 or $3. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a dinner for $9 or a sandwich and side for $6. St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., will serve a fish dinner also featuring pirogi from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $9 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets are available at the church office or the pirogi kitchen. For information call the office at 330-747-8503.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Takeouts will be available at 3 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under.

VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Also available will be four-piece chicken, chicken fingers, or shrimp. The cost is $8 for adults and $7.50 for seniors.

SATURDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets for adults cost $7 and for children, $3. Carryout is available. Tickets will be sold at the door. For information call 330-758-5745.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will host a corned beef and cabbage or roast beef dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $8.50. Carryout will be available. For advance orders call 330-637-2571.

Western Reserve Masonic Lodge 507, state Route 88, West Farmington, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4.50 for children 5 to 12; those 4 and under eat free. Carryouts are available for $7.50.

SUNDAY

Fowler Fire Department will serve a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for children. Preschoolers eat for free.

Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, is sponsoring a turkey pot-pie sale from noon until sold out. Cost is $3.95.

Southington American Legion Post Home, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12; those 4 and under eat free.

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, will serve a corned beef and cabbage dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $12 plus tax for adults and $6 plus tax for children. Reservations are needed; call 330-270-9056 or 330-799-0914.

VFW Post 2799 will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The Easter Bunny will be on hand.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, is taking orders for 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $7 each, potato soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 per quart and $3 per pint, and fresh-baked bread for $1.50 a loaf. Happy Hearts Jr. Tamburitzans are taking orders for homemade apple or cheese strudels until Thursday. All strudels are frozen and baking instructions are included. Cost is $8 each. Pickup will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Croatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Call 330-519-9036.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon is taking orders for Easter bread. The cost is $10 for a 2 pound round loaf and is available plain or iced. Order by March 22 by calling 330-538-3351. Pickups will be selected hours March 27, 28 and 29.

Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman, is taking orders for kolachi and 4-ounce peanut butter Easter eggs. Kolachi will be $9 each and flavors are nut, apricot, poppy seed and prune. St. John Orthodox Church, 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, is taking orders for Easter items. Cheese, plain or raisin Easter bread is $6 each; apricot, cheese, lekvar, nut or poppy seed kolachi is $10 each; large cookie trays are $28 each; angel food cherry strudel is $10 each; lamb buttermolds are $3.50 each; homemade beet or white horseradish is $3; stuffed cabbage is $15 per dozen; Ukrainian borscht is $6 per quart; jellied pigs feet are $3; and kielbasa and slab bacon is $5.50 per pound. Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 7 at the Salem Italian American Club, 250 Penn Ave. Cost is $7 per ticket; children 5 and under eat free. There will be a basket auction, a 50-50 raffle and bake sale. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at 330-332-4897. Carryout dinners are available by calling 330-337-8817. All proceeds benefit the animals at Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary.

Campbell City Fest Committee is sponsoring a pasta dinner from noon to 4 p.m. April 7 at Campbell Elementary and Middle School Cafeteria, 2002 Community Circle. Youngstown Saxon Club’s 37th annual president’s benefit goulash dinner will be March 23 in the ballroom, 710 S. Meridian Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for free beer and soft drinks; dinner will be served family style at 6:30. There will be a cash bar after 6:30. Entertainment will be the Saxon Culture Group Brass Band. Cost is $15, and reservations are required by calling 330-792-7973.
