Man in custody after fatal tavern shooting

IMPERIAL, Pa. (AP) — Police say a man is in custody after fatally shooting and wounding two others at a bar in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Police have yet to release the name of the man who was seen leaving the bar in handcuffs, with his head heavily bandaged, early Monday.

Police say the man was talking on his cellphone when he abruptly left the Fort Pitt Inn in North Fayette Township, then returned with at least one gun about 12:45 a.m.

The gunman shot one man in the head, killing him, before shooting another in the neck. A third man was wounded in the arm as he subdued and disarmed the gunman. Police say about nine other patrons then helped control the man until police arrived.

Police were taking the gunman to a hospital before charging him.
