Raridon Singers set 2 seasonal concerts
The Wade Raridon Singers will present two free concerts of seasonal music of Lent, Easter and St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday at the Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 Belle Vista Ave., and March 17 in the Gathering Room of Park Vista Retirement Center, 1216 Fifth Ave. Both start at 4 p.m. Wade Raridon, retired Dana School of Music professor, leads the group.
Numbers Band will perform
The Kent-based art-rock band 15 60 75 (The Numbers Band) will perform at the Lemon Grove, 110 W. Federal St., at 8 p.m. Saturday. A photo caption in Thursday’s Vindicator gave an incorrect date. Admission is $5, and front-row tables are available for $10 by calling 330-747-5404.
Model railroad merchandise sale
The Youngstown Model Railroad Association will have its annual spring flea market from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at McMenamy’s Banquet Hall, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road. The event will feature 185 dealer tables of merchandise and equipment for all model railroad scales and general railroad interests. Merchandise will include Lionel trains, train parts, railroad books, DVDs, photographs and memorabilia.
Admission is $5 (free for children under 12). A three-rail “O” gauge layout will be in operation during the flea market, courtesy of the Western Reserve Modular Railroad Club.
USA Dance will offer free ballroom dance lessons for area high school students from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and again March 16 at Boardman High School. Advance registration is required. Forms are available at high school offices in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, and may also be downloaded at usadance2015.com.
