BREAKING NEWS: Canfield High School closed today due to bomb threat

CANFIELD — Scott Weamer, assistant Canfield police chief, today confirmed there was a bomb threat at Canfield High School. Students and faculty were evacuated from the school as of 11:10 a.m.

A note was found at 10:35 a.m. in the high school. Police are still investigating to determine if the note was credible threat, Weamer said. Police are currently searching building on Cardinal Drive. The school was closed for the day.

Superintendent Alex Geordan said the automated phone system alerted parents to the threat after the note was found.
