PD seeks motive in shooting near rapper’s bus
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia police are still seeking a motive after an arrest in a shooting outside the tour bus of rapper French Montana that left one man dead and another injured.
Investigators say the bus, followed by several cars loaded with friends and family, had arrived at a hotel for a post-concert party after the Morocco-born rapper had headlined a sold-out show at the Theatre of Living Arts on Feb. 28. Twenty-six-year-old Jowann King, of Flushing, N.Y., was killed.
On Tuesday, police said they had arrested 20-year-old Frank Briggs. He faces charges of murder, attempted murder and other counts for allegedly opening fire into the crowd. WPVI-TV reports police say the two men in the crowd who fired back will not be charged.
