Donnell takes part in contest, benefit

Donnell Ford Lincoln of Salem recently participated in the “Go Further with Ford Night” program, which provided dealership visitors an opportunity to enter a contest to win a 2013 Ford Fusion and benefit cancer screening at the Salem Community Hospital.

In addition to being entered in the national contest to win a Ford Fusion, each customer participating in the event generated a contribution from Ford Motor Co. to the Charitable Foundation of Salem Community Hospital. Tom Poponak, the dealership’s general manager, provided a matching gift to double the donation.

Accepting the gift on behalf of SCH, LuAnn Haddad, the hospital’s vice president of institutional advancement, said that the donation will be used to support hospital programs that identify and treat cancer.
