The preschool Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes at Union Elementary School had Valentine’s Day parties Feb. 13. The class read “Clifford’s First Valentine’s Day” by Norman Bridwell and made Clifford faces out of colored paper and googly eyes. While some students were working on crafts and others were playing, students had the opportunity to paint on the easel.
To prepare for Valentine’s Day, students in both classes decorated pizza boxes for Valentine’s Day. They sang songs, shared valentines, and ate a Valentine’s Day feast provided by the teachers and parents of students at the preschool. Some of the food included heart-shaped sandwiches, vegetable dip, cookies, and a red drink.
The preschool classes at Union Elementary School are divided into two classes that meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday. To learn more about preschool, visit www.poland.k12.oh.us/Union/index.htm.
