Jan. 17

Arrest: Peter M. Abbas was taken into custody at his residence, 7173 Clovermeade Drive, Poland. The 42-year-old Abbas was wanted on a warrant from Struthers Municipal Court accusing him of failing to appear in court.

Drugs: Police on state Route 170 issued a minor-misdemeanor citation charging 51-year-old Elizabeth A. Finley-Belgrad, 146 Forest Hills Drive, Boardman, with marijuana possession.

Drug paraphernalia: While assisting medical personnel in the 6600 block of Sturbridge Drive, police seized a spoon with suspected heroin residue, as well as a syringe cap.

Jan. 18

Theft/forgery: A Miller Road woman discovered her automated-teller-machine/debit card and two books of checks had been stolen, and that some checks were forged.

Jan. 20

Theft: Fifty-eight prescription pills were stolen from a home in the 7600 block of North Lima Road.

Jan. 21

Arrest: Police arrested Nicole E. Carbone, 25, at her residence, 5791 Sheridan Road, Poland, on a warrant from Struthers Municipal Court. She was charged with contempt of court.

Jan. 23

Theft: Sara R. Schwartz, 27, of 422 Fifth St., Struthers, was taken into custody on a warrant accusing her of having stolen $287 worth of merchandise from Giant Eagle, 3130 Center Road.

Burglary: To a residence in the 7800 block of Indian Trail through the front door. One hundred ninety feet of copper piping was stolen.

Jan. 25

Auto theft: A 2011 Buick LaCrosse was stolen from a home in the 6500 block of North Carolina Place.

Feb. 2

Burglary: To a residence in the 8600 block of Van Drive through the garage. A wedding band was among numerous pieces of jewelry stolen.

Feb. 3

Identity theft: A Struthers Road woman discovered her debit card had been used for $400 worth of unauthorized activity.

Feb. 11

Trespassing: Police received information someone had trespassed on property in the 6900 block of Poland Center Drive.

Feb. 12

Identity theft: A Four Seasons Trail woman reported a total of $4,781 stolen from three accounts in her name.

Feb. 18

Burglary: Took place in the 8200 block of Cliffview Drive, though police found no signs of forced entry. Two hundred feet of copper piping was removed.

Feb. 19

Burglary: To a residence in the 8200 block of Cliffview Drive, from which 200 feet of copper piping was stolen.

Feb. 22

Arrests: Police on a traffic stop near U.S. Route 224 and Pennsylvania Avenue took into custody Lanisha J. Holbert, 34, and Chavon L. Conley, 25, both of 7443 North Lima Road, Poland, on warrants. Holbert was charged with promoting prostitution, a fourth-degree felony; Conley faced a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing.
