YOUNGSTOWN
The city’s board of control awarded a $332,569 contract to a Girard company for a Glenwood Avenue improvement between Falls and Warren avenues.
Diorio Paving will start the job in the next 30 to 45 days and take up to 45 days to complete, said Charles Shasho, deputy director of the city’s public works department.
There will be lane restrictions during the project, but Glenwood will not be closed, Shasho said.

Here's a suggestion for Shasho/city administration: Improve the entrance corridors to the city!! Keep them paved, keep them at least free of refuse and debris, and make the city actually appear to be somewhere someone would want to go.
Nobody cares about a fragment of Glenwood Avenue - whether that small stretch is newly paved - while all around it is still bomb craters. That bit of paving isn't going to shape anyone's first impression of Youngstown.
For crying out loud, Youngstown, use your heads!!!
