YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County dog warden is investigating the discovery of several dead dogs near Salt Springs Road on Thursday.

The five dogs were found in trash bags, but it has not been determined yet how they died or if they died at the same time.

Agents from the dog warden’s office were on the West Side investigating a report of dogs running at large when they spotted two small puppies inside a trash bag. Another trash bag containing a puppy was found nearby. Two adult dogs also found dead were not in trash bags.

The area near where the dogs were found is not frequently traveled, authorities said.

Animal Charity will check the dogs to determine how they died and to make sure no criminal activity was involved in their deaths.

An irresponsible pet owners dog probably got pregnant and instead of doing the humane thing and finding homes for the parents and puppies they killed them instead. If they find out it was intentional these people need prosecuted...we need stricter laws for animal abuse
PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS..there are too many unwanted dogs and cats that are the result of not properly caring for your pet.
