Dobbins Elementary School hosted its Valentine’s Day parties Feb. 14, as different classes had activities happening in their rooms throughout the day.
Students passed out Valentines to their classmates and a sense of togetherness was encouraged by all teachers and staff throughout the school.
Students also were given PTO-provided snacks and treats in honor of the holiday. The snacks varied from room to room. Second-graders, who were the first to begin their parties, snacked on ice cream sundaes with different toppings, like syrup, chocolate chips, whipped cream, M&Ms, mini Reese Cups and more. Different classes ate cupcakes and cookies.
PTO members also brought their own special Valentine’s Day treats for students — Valentine’s Day bags filled with candy, small games, pencils and bookmarks.
“We are really appreciative of the support of our great PTO members,” said Dobbins principal Cheryl Borovitcky. “They provided all the food and the Valentine’s Day bags for our students and we are really grateful to have that kind of support at our school.”
