Area holes-in-one

Mike Mazanetz, of Newton Falls, aced No. 7, a 317-yard par-4, at Olde Dutch Mill on June 19. He used a driver. Witnesses were Scott Kernen and Greg Boggs.

Ed Nappi, of Columbiana, aced the 110-yard No. 9 at Youngstown Country Club on June 19. He used a pitching wedge. Witnesses included Tom Couche, Ken Kreps and Bob Stanley.

Dan Shurilla, of Youngstown, aced No. 3, a 344-yard par-4, at The Links at Firestone Farms on June 18. He used a driver. Witnesses were George Rohan, Kevin Hawkins and Jim Demeter.

Felix Lazazzera, of Austintown, aced the 142-yard No. 18 at Knoll Run on May 15. He used a 7-iron. The shot happened during play in the VFW League and was witnessed by Al Donofrio and Rudy Donofrio.

Lee Montell, of Youngstown, aced the 150-yard No. 17 at Reserve Run on June 17. He used a 7-iron. Witnesses included Joe Martin, Sue Martin and Tammy Montell.

Bob Crane, of Washington, Pa., aced the 148-yard No. 11 at Kennsington Golf Club on June 13. He used a 9-iron for his second hole-in-one. The shot was witnessed by Brad Calrk, Bob Zeh and Jim Phillips.

Regis Smith, of Youngstown, aced the 195-yard No. 7 at Beaver Creek Meadows on June 19. He used a 4-iron. Witnesses were Paul Vath, Joe Sefcik and Jim Finchem.
