“Community Connection” (7 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV and 7 p.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Spotlight Performing Arts Studio is a partnership with the city of Youngstown, the mayor’s office and City Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV) to involve youths in summer activities. Sharhonda McQueen and Nyamekye Dubose will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the partnership, summer camps and a summer youth production of “The Wiz.”

Historical Society sets open houses
Mahoning Valley Historical Society will host free “Hands-On-History” open houses from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 14 at the Arms Family Museum of Local History, 648 Wick Ave.
Each week will feature a different historical theme with arts and crafts, games, toys and dress-up clothing.
There will be half-price admission for museum tours.
