Teens break into home for hot dogs

WILMINGTON, Ohio

Police in southwest Ohio say two apparently hungry teens broke into a home to have themselves some hot dogs.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that homeowners arrived home Thursday to find a package of hot dogs lying out on the kitchen counter and their refrigerator door propped open. They told Clinton County sheriff’s deputies they saw the two boys at the back door. Police say after the youths left, the homeowners noticed that a window screen had been removed.

Police say they later questioned the two youths, who said their only intent was to fix hot dogs. They each face a charge of burglary.

HellaBB, how do know these kids were starving??? Maybe they were high, drunk, etc and that they had the munchies and decided instead of going home for hot dogs, they would break into someone's house for them. I had a neighbor who found a bunch of kids that they didn't know, in their pool. When they told the kids to get out, the kids said they were hot and wanted to cool off. Who can we blame for this?? The water department for not providing them a pool during the hot weather!!

Hella, why don't you use just attribute these kids' wrongdoing to Bush? You're pretty much headed down that path. Where does it state they were starving? You like diverting responsibility?

This home owner should be given some kind of award for saving these boys from starvation.
