Published: Fri, June 21, 2013 @ 10:14 p.m.

NORTH JACKSON

A federally funded drunken driving checkpoint starts at 10:30 tonight to 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Mahoning Avenue in Jackson Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Mahoning County OVI (Operating a vehicle impaired) Task Force announced.

The task force said it will conduct saturation patrols in nearby areas in conjunction with the checkpoint and in various parts of Mahoning County throughout the weekend.

They should have set this up at Wendy's. Also I hope that anyone who was stopped at this bogus OVI checkpoint was given the offer of a ride home. If it's good enough for the county auditor it should be good enough for everyone else.
