FBI hunt for ex-Teamster boss Hoffa’s remains ends

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP)— The excavation of a rural field in suburban Detroit has failed to turn up the remains of former Teamsters union leader Jimmy Hoffa, the FBI announced today, adding another unsuccessful chapter to a nearly 40-year-old mystery. Authorities stopped the dig after just a few hours on the third day.

Probably just to put and end to all the "Where is Jimmy Hoffa buried" jokes. And maybe to try to bury some of the FBI's embarrassment since this has gone on for nearly half a century.

Have they tried looking in Youngstown. They might find his and a few others. I'd start with McKelvey Lake. There's probably a couple of skeletons with cement shoes still on.
