Summer enrichment program has availability

The Ebony Ladies Golf and Youth Foundation announces availability in The Summer Educational Enrichment Program. Fifty children in Youngstown will be able to participate free of charge twice a week in this summer camp experience.

The Summer Educational Enrichment Program will run for eight weeks during the summer, from June 18 until Aug. 8. Seven neighborhood organizations (The Needle’s Eye, Ebony Ladies Golf and Youth Foundation, Grow Youngstown, Best Art, UMOJA and Associate Neighborhood Center) will come together two days per week in order to provide a well-rounded summer experience for the children.

This unique program will offer golf lessons, art classes, gardening, reading comprehension tutoring, nutrition and physical fitness. The children will also be able to go on educational field trips in area. The Summer Educational Enrichment Program will challenge the children mentally and physically while teaching them important skills for success in their daily lives.
