Golf outing to be June 24

The Arc of Ohio will host its eighth annual Par for the Developmentally Disable Golf Outing June 24 at Knoll Run Golf course, 1421 Struthers-Coitsville Road. The cost is $300 per team or $75 per player and includes 18 holes of golf, breakfast, lunch and a steak dinner. A shotgun start will begin at 9:15 a.m. Prizes will be given out for the longest drive, closest to the pin and winning teams. The winning team will qualify to participate in the Greatest Scramble Team Challenge. Deadline to register for the outing is June 17. Benefit golf outing set

The Brett Wilcox benefit golf outing will be July 21 at Lakeside Golf Course. Shot gun start will begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $65 per golfer or $250 for a foursome. Cost includes coffee and doughnuts at registration, lunch, dinner and drinks.Sponsorships are available for $100 for a hole sponsor or $350 for a gold sponsor. First place will receive $400 and second place $200. In addition, there will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and a 50-inch TV raffle. Poland resident takes second

Eleven-year-old Gianna Stanich of Poland placed second in the womens race overall of the IHM Festival 5K. Stanich finished in a time of 20:37. For complete results go to www.ihmfestival5K.webs.com.
