Lambert to appear at Eastwood Mall
Jack Lambert will be coming to the Eastwood Mall on June 29 from 1-3 p.m.
Lambert won the defensive rookie of the year with the Pittsburgh Steelers and he was elected to the NFL Hall of Fame in 1990.
He was a member of four Steeler Super Bowl teams.

JFK’s Jad Abdul-Aal selected all-state tennis
Jad Abdul-Aal of Warren JFK was selected to the first team Division II singles of the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association all-state team.
Matthew Smith picked for Lacrosse Classic
Matthew Smith, grandson of Marsha and Chuck Pierce of Mineral Ridge and Penny and Jack Smith of Canfield and a junior at Parkland High School in Allentown, Penn, has been named as a high school all-American lacrosse player.
He was selected to represent Pennsylvania at the 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic to be held in Boyds, Maryland June 30-July 3.
The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brings the top high school lacrosse players in the country to one venue.
The 9-11 Memorial Golf Outing is set for Lakeside Golf Course on June 23.

Kennsington Golf Course has unveiled a state-of-the-art Visage RT GPS system in all of their golf carts to assist golfers with golf shot yardages with pin point accuracy, real-time player scorecards and leader boards during special tournaments and events.
The GPS is currently available for use in all golf carts and the features are endless.
Golfers will find it easy to track their score with a virtual scorecard that players can email themselves after their round of golf is finished to verify their experience at Kennsington Golf Club.

Rast wins sixth stage, Frank leads Tour
Gregory Rast won the sixth stage of the Tour de Suisse with a final cycling sprint, and Mathias Frank retained the overall lead on Thursday.
BMC Racing’s Frank finished in the main field to keep the yellow jersey and his 23-second lead over Roman Kreuziger of Saxo-Tinkoff.
Rast, Mathew Hayman, Alexandr Kolobnev and Bert Grabsch pulled away from the peloton early in the 115-mile stage from Leuggern to Meilen. The quartet finished more than 10 minutes ahead of the main field.
Chicago tops Columbus 2-1 in US Open Cup
Patrick Nyarko’s diving header in the 78th minute Thursday earned the Chicago Fire a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup.
Nyarko headed it past Columbus goaltender Andy Gruenbaum from 12 yards out to break a 1-all tie.
The match was delayed until Thursday because of severe thunderstorms in the Chicago area on Wednesday night.
Crew midfielder Konrad Warzycha opened the scoring with a header from 9 yards out in the 22nd minute.
