Junior Trista Cunningham ran a career best time of 5:37.52 in the 1600-meter, while freshman Sydney Lewis had a personal best of 4’10” in the high jump.
“This is always a meet of extreme highs and lows,” said head coach Denise Gorski. “You are elated for those who have made it on to the regional meeet but feel badly for those girls who don’t because their season is done. The underclassman have another chance but many of them were emotional about their season coming to a close which shows their competitiveness and desire to excel even more next year.”
