60-Plus Club of St. Brendan Church will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Maxwell Hall for its monthly meeting. Ann Smith will preside. Reports will be given by Dorothy Procick and Dorothy LoSasso. Cards and bingo will follow. New members are welcome. A spaghetti dinner will be provided at the August meeting for $7.50 each. Illnesses and deaths should be reported to Theresa Vivacqua at 330-793-2792.

Austintown AARP 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road. There will not be a board meeting. Entertainment will be provided by Joyce Pogany of the historical society. There will be refreshments, and dues will be collected. Take local and national cards. New members are welcome. Upcoming tours are as follows: Oct. 9 to Mountain Playhouse and Nov. 27 to the Amish Theater. To make reservations call Doris Snyder at 330-799-0670.

Bev Road MASCO Retirees will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Landmark Restaurant on Market Street in Boardman.

Golden Pillars will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday for a liturgy at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. The monthly meeting will follow at noon with Mary Novak presiding. Edward Lancy will be honored as Father of the Year. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and cards and bingo will be played. Members are to take their own table setting.

Happy Wanderers will meet at 11 a.m. June 21 at Corner House Christian Church. Grace Harmony Christian Music Ministry will present a concert. Those whose names begin with M through Z are asked take a snack. Hostesses will be Carol Balluch, Mimi Thon, Ilene Hudavoni, Ida Leonelli, JoAnn Lukach, Bob Rossey and Nancy Murray. Greeters will be Freida McMath, Bob Cassidy, Wilma Quinn and Jack Hartley. Departure will be 5:15 a.m. Friday for Horseshoe Curve Express Tour, Altoona, Pa.; there are some openings. Other trips planned are “The Sound of Music” at the Red Barn Theatre on July 12; annual mystery tour, July 23; Chautauqua Belle Learning Tour, Aug. 8; “NOAH,” Sept. 13-14; Church Basement Ladies, “A Second Helping,” Oct. 11; and Annual Christmas Concert Tour, Dec. 14. J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at noon Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Final plans will be made for the July picnic.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Jean Waters will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. NARFE Chapter 14 will have its monthly luncheon meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club. All active and retired federal employees are invited to attend. Call 330-953-0077 for information.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors will meet Wednesday after the noon Mass. John Mascardine will preside, and reports will be given by Clara Pascale and Ann Leone. Lunch will be served, and birthdays and anniversaries will be observed. There will be a 50-50 drawing, and cards and bingo will be played. Guests are welcome. Sears Friendship Club will meet at noon Monday at What’s Cook’n in the Mathews Plaza, Boardman.

St. Joseph Goldenagers will have its summer picnic at 11:30 a.m. June 20 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Cost is $13. Evelyn Menaldi will preside, business reports will be given, and Carol McClain will give the thought for the day. Those members celebrating birthdays and anniversaries will be honored. Cards will be played, and there will be a 50-50 raffle. Get-well wishes will be sent to members who are ill.

UFCW Local 880 Retirees Club will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Cornersburg. Membership is open to all UFCW Local 880 retirees. For information call 330-536-6369.

USWA Local 2243 Copperweld Steel Retirees, S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10, will meet at 1 p.m. June 20 at the union hall, 684 N. Park Ave., Warren. The speaker will be Jeff Levkulich, WKBN-TV news reporter. Refreshments will be served.
