What: Herb Gardening 101.
When: June 11, from 6:30-8 p.m.
Info: Pam Baytos will share garden maintenance, harvesting, drying techniques and preserving for the beginning herb gardener. Participants will take home five herb plants to start their own herb garden either in a container or in their garden.

POLAND FARMERS’ MARKET
When: Fridays, from 6-8 p.m., starting June 14.
Where: New location is state Route 170 in center of Poland Village on Town Hall lawn.

What’s the Buzzzz?
When: June 15, 11 a.m.-noon. Children age 3-5 can come to the gardens to find out that the buzz is all about bumble bees.

What: The 30 Mile Meal is a local food branding and promotional campaign that aims to provide a shared identity for farmers, specialty-food producers, retail markets, food events and independently owned eateries and bars featuring locally sourced menus. It is designed to educate individuals and businesses on the availability of local food and offer incentives to buy local while strengthening the bottom line for local farmers and food businesses.
