Liberty firefighters remove woman glued to Walmart toilet

Staff report

Township firefighters had to remove a woman who was somehow glued to a toilet seat in a handicapped restroom at Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, early Friday evening.

Call logs from the Trumbull County 911 Center show that a call was placed at about 6:30 p.m. from the woman, who said she was on the seat and her buttocks were burning and she could not get up.

She began screaming and several employees came into the bathroom, the logs said. The woman was freed and taken to a local hospital.

A spokesman at the fire department Saturday said he did not know how the woman was freed or what made her stick to the seat. He said a report was not available and he did not want to release further information because a medical call is subject to federal privacy laws.

A manager at the store who was asked to comment said he did not know about the incident and even if he did, he was not allowed to speak to the media.
