Bradley Manning acquitted of aiding the enemy

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — U.S. Army Pfc. Bradley Manning has been acquitted of aiding the enemy for giving classified secrets to WikiLeaks.

The military judge hearing the case, Army Col. Denise Lind, announced the verdict today. The charge was the most serious of 21 counts. It carried a possible life sentence without parole.

Manning was convicted of five espionage counts, five theft charges, a computer fraud charge and other military infractions.

Manning’s sentencing hearing is set to begin Wednesday.

The 25-year-old Crescent, Okla., native acknowledged giving the anti-secrecy website hundreds of thousands of battlefield reports, diplomatic cables and videos in early 2010.

Manning said he didn’t believe the information would harm troops in Afghanistan and Iraq or threaten national security.

He should be released and commended for standing up to lies and exposing wrong doing by the government.

Now that this is over, time to start the war crimes trial of Bush and Obama.

What this young man did was supply our secrets to our enemies. If he really was concerned about something wrong going on, there were a lot of other avenues to expose it. Aiding our enemies is not one of them. And why Obama? I don't recall him lying about WMDs and causing the deaths of all these young Americans or heaping this massive debt to run these two wars on us. Rescumlicans complain about Benghazi but ignore the over ten bombings and attacks of embassies and consulate that occur under Bush.

Obama's drones killed 80 Afghans in just the past 24 hours; what's the body count (all nationalities) now since the 2001 invasion? What's the war crimes count?

One thing about Bush though... he didn't go campaigning after the attacks and try to say they were the result of a protest gone awry. All obozo knows is lies. Did you know that a lot of dumbocrats also lied about WMD ?? Do you realize that due to his policies in Iraq and Afghanistan that obozo is just wasting those lives that were lost?? Did you know that obozo created MUCH MORE debt in MUCH LESS time than the shrub?
