Ohio pediatric doctor faces child-porn charge

Published: Wed, July 24, 2013 @ 5:37 p.m.

COLUMBUS (AP) — Federal prosecutors are alleging the director of a pediatric cancer radiation unit at Ohio State University downloaded sexually explicit child pornography videos and photos.

A criminal complaint filed today in federal court in Columbus charges Dr. Christopher Pelloski with a single count of receiving child pornography.

The complaint says Dr. Pelloski acknowledged to a member of a Franklin County special-investigations unit that he used his home desktop computer and a laptop belonging to Ohio State to download child pornography.

Dr. Pelloski, 39, is director of the Pediatric Radiation Oncology Program at Ohio State’s James Cancer Hospital, which also receives referrals from Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

His attorney Stephen Palmer said he was still gathering information and couldn’t comment.

This news is extremely disturbing....
Viewing, possessing, distributing, and/or creating child porn is a serious crime, and for good reason. The children in the photos are being sexually used and abused. This causes lifelong pain and suffering for the innocent children. Hopefully anyone, who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Christopher E. Pelloski, will have the courage to speak up and report it to police. When victims and whistleblowers stay silent, nothing changes. But when they find the courage to take action, there's at least a chance for prevention, healing, justice and protecting children.
