Shop seeks supplies
A mock store is being set up at Beatitude House offices, 238 Tod Lane on the campus of St. Edward Parish, where the homeless and disadvantaged children served by Beatitude House can shop for school supplies.
Anyone interested in donating items for the store can do so by Aug. 7 at the Beatitude House offices from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Items needed, in sizes preschool to adult, include school uniforms; red or white polo shirts; navy, khaki or black pants; red, navy, black or white cardigan sweaters with no logos or brand names on the outside; socks and underwear.
The children also need classroom supplies such as folders, three-ring binders, flash drives, note cards, book covers, assignment books, calculators, scissors, highlighters, rulers, pencil boxes, tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, sandwich size sealing bags, and sanitizing wipes.

Lab accepting requests
Sharon Regional Health System has opened a community lab draw site at Edgewood Surgical Hospital, 239 Edgewood Drive Ext. in Transfer. The lab, open 7 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, will accept all physician requests for lab testing except glucose tolerance tests regardless of hospital affiliation. Since some blood tests require fasting before the draw, individuals should check with their physician to determine any requirements for testing.
Sharon Regional also provides lab draw services at its main campus in Sharon, Hermitage Diagnostic and Imaging Center, Mercer Family Medicine Center, Neshannock Diagnostic and Specialty Center, Brookfield Family Medicine Center, and Hubbard Diagnostic and Specialty Center.
