ANIMATION DOMINATION HIGH-DEF (9:30 P.M., FOX): Viewers will be treated to a sneak preview of two 15-minute programs airing under this edgy new late-night block, starting with “Axe Cop.” It’s the tale of an insomniac superhero (voiced by Nick Offerman) who gets just two minutes of sleep a night and eats only birthday cake. It’s followed by “High School USA!” in which Mandy Moore and Vincent Kartheiser supply the voices of perky students. (The show officially premieres Saturday).

Sutliff Museum plans open house
The Sutliff Museum will have its summer open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The museum will be decorated in Victorian style with patriotic themes and natural materials from the seashore, capturing the spirit of the late 1800s. The parlor area will have furniture and decorative items from the 1850 Levi Sutliff home on High Street in Warren. Homemade cookies and punch will be served at the event.
The Sutliff Museum is on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library at 444 Mahoning Ave. NW in Warren’s historic district. It is fully handicapped- accessible, and admission is free.
Free Golf Day at Parto’s course
Parto’s Golf Center, 2231 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will offer Free Golf Day on its par-3 course from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Visitors can play nine free holes of golf, and there will be free hot dogs and giveaways from noon to 2 p.m. For details, call 330-743-6718.
‘Midsummer’ at Buhl garden
Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and James Willaman’s “The Changeling” will be presented at 7 p.m. July 26, 27 and 28 outdoors in the rose garden at Buhl Park, 715 Hazen Road. Tickets are $10 ($5 for students). Bring blanket or chair. The shows are presented by Ballet Theater Shenango Valley and Walnut Lodge performing arts camp.
