Campbell teachers may issue 10-day intent-to-strike notice

Published: Wed, July 17, 2013 @ 12:46 p.m.

CAMPBELL — The Campbell Education Association, the union representing Campbell City School teachers, voted unanimously this morning to authorize its bargaining team to issue a 10-day strike notice if necessary.

If the bargaining team opts to proceed, the notice will be sent to the State Employment Relations Board.

“The CEA is taking this precaution to protect themselves from the aggressive tactics that the Campbell Board of Education has already taken by implementing a contract effective July 1,” a news release from the union says. “The union hopes this action will help the board decide to return to the bargaining table to reach a fair contract.”
