NEWTON FALLS

The second annual BeardStock music festival, Aug. 2-4 at the Newton Falls Community Center, will feature 60 bands from throughout the region.

Two stages will be set up at the community center at 52 E. Quarry St. Admission is $5 for one day, or $10 for a three-day pass. Tickets can be purchased online at BeardStock2013.splashthat.com. Event details and a list of performers can be found on the BeardStock Facebook page.

Hours are 3-11 p.m. Aug. 2; and 1-11 p.m. Aug. 3 and 4.

Headliners will be Impending Lies (Cleveland) and Winslow (Akron) Aug. 2; KRIADIAZ (Cleveland) and Kitchen Knife Conspiracy (Youngstown) Aug. 3; and Patent Pending (Long Island, N.Y.) and Freshman 15 (Atlanta) Aug. 4.

BeardStock is an alcohol-free event and is open to all ages. It is sponsored by Acathla Clothing, Reckless Image, Music Connection Magazine and Canton Fly Paper. More than 300 bands applied to be a part of the 2013 event.

Last year’s event drew about 1,000 fans.
