The Wick Avenue organizations will host the annual community service at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave.

Participants are from Butler Memorial Presbyterian Church, St. Columba Cathedral and Diocese of Youngstown, First Presbyterian Church, Oak Baptist Church, Ursuline High School, city of Youngstown, Youngstown State University and St. John’s Episcopal.

Camp meeting


Sebring Interdenominational Holiness Camp, 895 McKinley Ave., is marking its 109th encampment, which began Thursday and continues through July 21.

The Rev. Rick Sams, pastor of Alliance Friends Church, will preach. Brian Arner of Cummings, Ga., is the featured song evangelist.

Area pastors speaking are the Rev. John Stallings of Massillon First Church of the Nazarene, who spoke Friday; the Rev. Bob Flint, evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene, and the Rev. Dan Conkey, pastor of Summit Wesleyan Church in Akron, both today; the Rev. John Ryser, pastor of Damascus Friends Church, July 20; the Rev. Steve Nelson of Akron, an evangelist in the United Methodist Church, will preach Sunday and July 21. Sunday service times are 10:30 a.m. and 3 and 7 p.m.

From Monday through July 20, Dr. Stephen Manley of Lebanon, Tenn., will speak at Bible study hour at 9:30 a.m. and will preach at 10:45 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Corey Clark, Marion, Ind., is youth evangelist for seventh- through 12th-grades. Children’s ministry will be provided by Jessica Clark, Marion, and Life Through the Word Ministries of Marysville, Ohio.

Vision City


Vision City, 2681 Youngstown Road, will host its monthly night vision service at 5 p.m. July 21.

Dr. Jerome A. Jones of Vision City, Pastor Melvin T. Baker of Temple of Praise and Pastor Anthony Davis of Genesis Community Christian Centre with psalmist Lyndsy Rae Jewell will join together for prayer, praise and Gospel preaching. For information, call 234-600-3815.

Believers’ Fest


The first Believers’ Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 20 at Courthouse Square.

A concert and talent showcase will be at 4 p.m. July 20.

It will feature representatives from a variety of local faith communities who will share ministries including choirs, mimes, dance groups and musical groups.

Ministries chapter


Christina Chislom will be guest speaker when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 325 Boardman-Poland Road.

Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.

She is a member of Destiny International Ministries.
