Gary Gray is the new lead pastor of Highway Tabernacle Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road.
A consecration service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday.
He was ordained in May 1991 with the Assemblies of God.
At Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla., Pastor Gray earned a bachelor’s degree in 1998 and a master of arts degree in ministerial leadership.
He previously served at Lift Church, Venice, Fla., for 24 years.
Pastor Gray and his wife, Rhonda, have three children.
St. Edward Church, 240 Tod Lane, will present a pilot program at 7 p.m. July 31 for community members who are curious about faith and the church.
Carla Hlavac, director of the Diocese of Youngstown media library, and Jim Merhaut, founder and director of Spiritual Help for You, will be panel members. After an introduction, participants will have the opportunity to submit questions anonymously.
The program is under the direction of Monsignor Robert Siffrin, pastor, who is vicar general for the diocese.

Men of Faith
Men of Faith will gather for the monthly breakfast meeting at 8 a.m. July 20 at Dutch House Restaurant, 14895 South Ave., with speaker Rob Struhart. Music will be presented by Rick Way. All canned-good donations will go to the Way Station. Another event will be 6 p.m. Aug 10 at the Dutch Village Inn with the theme “Elvis Visits the Inn” with Jim Penny from Poland.

Bread of Life Church of God in Christ, 702 Cameron Ave., will celebrate Friends and Family Day at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Special guests will be Pastor David Nelson and New Hope Baptist Church choir and congregation of Akron. Host pastor is Elder Rocco Wellington.
Bishop Emmitt Nevels Sr. of Nevels Temple Church Of God In Christ, 939 Elm St., will conduct a “Bless the Firefighters” worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday.
This is a monthly series of services in which the bishop recognizes various occupations and individuals in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. He has prayed for police officers, motorcycle riders, doctors, teachers, the homeless and nurses.

A light dinner will be offered after the service.
“Help and Healing on the Spiritual Path Through the Teachings of Bruno Groening” will be presented at 7 p.m. July 22 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 S. Broad St. The session is being held at, but is not affiliated with, the church.
The lecture is sponsored by the Circle for Spiritual Aid to Life, based on the teachings of Groening, a German healer and teacher. The free information lecture is about 90 minutes.
