A national filmmaking company is coming to the Valley on Monday to visit two area manufacturing sites and show its movie on manufacturing.
The film, “American Made Movie,” is a documentary that will be released nationally in August. It examines the factors the led to the decline of manufacturing in the United States and the resurgence in manufacturing taking place in some parts of the country.
The film will be shown at Regal Austintown Plaza 10 at 7 p.m. Monday. The theater is at 6020 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown.
Earlier in the day, the film crew will tour Starr Manufacturing Inc. in Vienna and Summer Garden Food in Boardman.
During the Vienna stop, they will present a “Be A Part” award to a local person or organization that has promoted manufacturing or had an impact on the community. The award will be presented at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the movie can be purchased at the Fandango website or at the theater. Tickets cost $11.25 from Fandango, including a $1.25 service fee.
