Tickets available for Iris, Warrant
Tickets are on sale for Lube-A-Palooza, July 26-28 in a giant tent at the Quaker Steak and Lube complex, downtown. TV show documents fish removal at mall
A film crew from “Shipping Wars,” the A&E Network series, came to Eastwood Mall in May to chronicle the removal and transport of some sea animals from the mall’s giant aquarium.
The Eastwood Mall segment will air on the show’s July 16 episode, which starts at 10 p.m. The program will document the tricky challenge of moving dangerous, yet delicate, sea creatures on a long journey over dry land. Officials at the mall were prohibited from sharing any more details about the filming.
The sea animals outgrew the aquarium and were removed. They have been replaced by a variety of Guitarfish, Golden Pilot Jacks and Blue-Spotted Stingrays, which were placed in the predator tank of the mall aquarium. New species of sharks will be introduced in the coming weeks.
Bull riding events at Mountaineer
Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort will present the Buckin’ B Cattle Co. Championship Bull Riding tour at 8 p.m. Sept. 28 and 4 p.m. Sept. 29 at The Harv auditorium.
