Mahoning 911 center loses power for 30 minutes

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County 911 Center lost electrical power for about 30 minutes because of the storm system that went through the area late today, but did not miss any calls because of the outage.

A 911 spokesman said power was restored around 6 p.m. However, calls were rerouted through a back-up public service answering point and the local 911 continued to receive calls.
