Cooking classes focus on food choices
The first of four classes on creative cooking with fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Common Ground Church, 2310 W. South Range Road.
Cost is $25 per session, $90 for series of four. Other classes will be Aug. 27, Sept. 24 and Oct. 22.
Sessions are provided by Goodness Grows, the outreach ministry of the church.
The series is a partnership with Northern Columbiana County Habitat for Humanity, where Marcia Hazel heads the support committee for the Habitat homeowners.
She is seeking sponsors to provide scholarships to expand attendance to the sessions, which are designed to empower participants to improve the quality, healthfulness and enjoyment of the food they choose. Contact her at 330-540-9142.
