Luptaks’ 50th anniversary is celebrated

NEW BEDFORD, PA.

Sam Sr. and Roberta Luptak were honored for their 50th anniversary at a party May 25 at Evangel Baptist Church in Boardman. Their children hosted the event.

Their children are Sam Luptak Jr. of New Bedford and Sheryl (Chuck) Wilder of Struthers.

They also have a granddaughter, Brittany Miller, and three great-grandchildren.

The couple were married May 30, 1963, at the church, where they are members.

Mrs. Luptak was a bank teller for Mahoning Bank in Youngstown and First National Bank of Western Pennsylvania. She also worked as a bus driver for Wilmington Area Schools in New Bedford and retired in the early 1980s.

Mr. Luptak worked the assembly line of General Motors in Lordstown and retired in 2004. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served from 1960 to 1966, including time served in the Army Reserve.
