Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. Who: Cortland Trinity Baptist Church

What: “Athens – Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 22-26.

Where: Church, 2576 McCleary Jacoby Road, Cortland.

Who: First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge

What: “Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 15-19.

Where: Church, 3654 Main Street in Mineral Ridge.

Details: The program takes children to a global celebration with the look and feel of a world’s fair. Activities include Bible storytelling, global games, music, science and crafts.

Who: Howland Community Church

What: “Prayer Safari” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Where: Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road SE, Howland.

Details: The program is open to children 4 years old through grade five. The cost is $10 a child and $5 for each additional child in one family. To register, call the church office at 330-856-3628.

Who: Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church

What: “Kingdom Rock, Where Kids Discover How to Stand Strong for God” is the theme.

When: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 22-25.

Where: Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., Youngstown.

Details: The activity is for children from 4 years old through sixth grade. There will be Bible stories and songs, team-building games, science and snacks. For information, call the church at 330-783-0513.

Who: Southington United Methodist Church

What: “Love Your Neighbors ” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. July 22-25.

Where: Church, state Route 305, Southington.

Details: Crafts, singing and storytelling are among activities at the free program for 3- to 12-year-olds. An evening meal is provided. For information, call 330-898-2156.

Who: Westminster Presbyterian, Bethel Lutheran and St. Charles Borromeo churches.

What: “Lighthouse Kids, Shining God’s Light” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 22-26.

Where: Westminster Presbyterian, 119 Stadium Drive, Boardman.

Details: The program will feature Bible stories, music, recreation, a mission and snacks. A combined program of different denominations teaches children that traditions may be different but the same God is worshipped. Who: Zion Hill Baptist Church

What: “God’s Backyard Bible Camp” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:309 p.m. July 15-19.

Where: Church, 220 Jefferson Street, Youngstown.

Details: The free program for children from 3 years old through 18 includes classes, refreshments, crafts, recreation and music. Transportation will be provided as needed but advance arrangements are necessary. Call the church 330-746-3832 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays to arrange for transportation and registration.

Who: Zion Lutheran Church

What: “God’s Backyard — Bible Camp Under the Stars” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 15-19.

Where: Church, 3300 Canfield Road, Youngstown.

Details: The program is for pre- kindergarten through sixth grade students. There also will be middle and high school activities and classes for adults. Dinner will be provided. Childcare also is offered. Register at the church, 330-492-4046.
