Due to the high demand for the award-winning program, the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown is expanding registration at the Child Development Center.
The CDC provides care and education for children from 6 weeks to age 12. There is space available for children ages 3 to 5 in the Preschool Program and additional space will be available for children age 3 and under in July/August.
The CDC uses the Creative Curriculum. It includes goals and objectives individualized to meet children’s learning needs in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical and cognitive. These goals and objectives are aligned to Ohio’s Infant and Toddler Guidelines and the Early Learning Content Standards.
The Child Development Center at the JCC also has been awarded a Step up to Quality Star 3 rating, the highest quality rating available. Step Up To Quality is Ohio’s voluntary quality rating system for licensed child-care programs. Step Up To Quality recognizes early care and education programs that exceed quality benchmarks over and above Ohio’s licensing standards.
