Youth choir plans annual concert

Staff report

WARREN

The Warren City-Wide Youth Choir will present its third annual summer concert July 21 at 6 p.m. at the Warren Community Amphitheater, downtown.

A free-will offering will be collected.

The concert is one of the biggest Christian outreach events in the Mahoning Valley.

The choir has more than 80 participants representing nearly two dozen churches.

It uses the concert to raise funds for the CURRENT Scholarship and promote unity among the Christian community.

In 2012, the first $1,000 scholarship was awarded, and this year, $2,000 in scholarships will be awarded.

The choir is open to all area youths and young adults of every church affiliation, Christian denomination and race.

Individuals and businesses who would like to purchase sponsor ads in the souvenir booklet or offer financial gifts can contact learn more at agapeassembly.com.
