Police recover 22 pounds of marijuana in weekend raid.

A Youngstown man and woman are charged with trafficking marijuana within the vicinity of a juvenile, after police here recovered 22 pounds of marijuana among other drug paraphernalia inside a Sheridan Road residence.

Police arrested Terrell Engles, 33, of Plazaview Court and Alexandria Scott, 21, of Elm Street on Saturday morning after they were seen coming from a room in the residence where a search warrant was being executed. Another man was discovered in the living room. He was questioned at the police department but later released, according to a report.

Police received authority to search the residence on Friday.

Among the items they discovered were a Fed Ex ground box with about 13 pounds of marijuana, garbage bag with 9-gallon bags containing another nine pounds of marijuana, garbage bag containing a scale and a small bag of marijuana, bag of marijuana in Scott’s vehicle, scales and other electronics that were taken for forfeiture, according to a report.

Police left a copy of the search warrant and inventory sheet on a table in the dining room and discovered a 4-to 5-year-old in a nearby building waving from a basement window.
