BOARDMAN — Police here are investigating another animal-cruelty case after a township woman reported that she found a littler of newborn kittens in her neighbor's trash can early Saturday morning.

At 12:30 a.m. the woman told police she discovered two kittens tied up in white plastic bags in the trash can of her neighbor's lot at Martin's Mobile Home Estates on South Avenue.

She removed them out of the bags and took the kittens to her sister's house to be cared for.

A third kitten was discovered in another white trash bag in the trash can after police heard meowing. The woman again took this kitten to her sister's house, according to a report.

Police are investigating.
