State senator from Cleveland will run for Ohio secretary of state

COLUMBUS — A fourth Democrat has confirmed intentions to seek statewide office in 2014.

State Sen. Nina Turner, D-Cleveland, today made official her run for secretary of state during a series of announcements around the state, kicking off in her hometown.

The declaration was expected, as Turner's own campaign had earlier launched a website (runninarun.org) that included position statements on election policies. She also has been a vocal critic of Republican incumbent Jon Husted and his handling of elections.
